What Causes Urinary Incontinence And Groin Pain Despite Taking Cipro?

I have been sick a week. It started with groin pain and low back pain. Thought perhaps a UTI. Was given Cipro on Friday. Monday labs came back negative. Felt awful Friday. Better Saturday. Awful Sunday. Was told to stop Cipro and take the analgesic (with the dye) for pain. I ve just finished that. Last night couldn t sleep due to feeling need to urinate. Today, felt better until mid afternoon. Now feel urgency again and groin pain. Hoping to see doctor tomorrow but worried since weekend is coming. Any thoughts/advice

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my surgical experience, the issue of urinary incontinence and groin pain not improving with antibiotic suggests possible gravels or calculus in the urinary system.
* In our clinic, I recommend the patient to undertake a urine culture and CT scan of the abdomen & pelvis for further management.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
