What Causes Urinary Incontinence Inspite Of Being On Finagen 5mg?
I am a prostate patient for the last two years and I am managing with Finagen 5mg. and I have no problem for passing urine. But, at night I have to go for frequent urination and hence my sleep is interepted and I am not getting a prolonged sleep. Any madication extra is their to control this frequent urination which I can take with the Finagen 5 mg.
hello Thanks for query . You have been diagnosed to have enalrged prostate and have been taking Finasteride 5 mg since 2 years .
Recently you have been getting nocturnal frequency for urination (Nocturia).
Increase in nocturnal frequency strongly suggest increase in size of the prostate and need to be reevaluated
Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis. 1) Urine routine and culture. 2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis with specific mention of Post Void Urine volume 3) Serum PSA.
Start taking Tomsulosin once daily .
Further as regards change in drugs or modality of treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
