I do not have incontinence, I only have a grade two cystocele. The uro told me to use a tampon as a pessary until I am fitted for a pessary. My tissue looks good for a 54 yr old and my rectocele repair (4 years ago) looks perfect. I have no other health issues at all. Today, the tampon was literally soaked with urine when I removed - is there something that could be wrong? Mrs. C Atlanta
Hi. Cystocele results in incomplete evacuation of bladder. When u placed the tampon, the cystocele got pushed up. This resulted in complete evacuation of stored urine from bladder. Hence the tampon got soaked with urine and when u removed it, it was wet with urine. So u don't need to worry for this. But then u will ultimately require treatment for cystocele.
