I just had ankle replacement surger on Friday 9-16. After having surgery I was unable to urinate. I was given pain killers interveinously and vicodin in tablet form. I had to be caterized that night. In the morning I could urinate a little and was discharged. I again could not urinate and consqently went to the hospiital emergency room and catherized again Saturday night. and was instructed to see my family physician on Monday He was unable to see me until Friday, the 23. I was afraid of getting infection if I waited tha long and returned to the emergncy room the catheter was removed the 11:30 this morning. I stopped taking vicodin on Saturday night. The surgery was performed with a spinal block along with antisthetetic.
