What Causes Urinary Retention Along With Burning Sensation?
Hi, I have been treated with the diagnosis of IC for 10 years. I take Elmiron. In the past several months I have had trouble emptying my bladder. Now I think I have to go and can not. It takes me a long time to start to go and then I burn. What do you think? I do have autoimmune problems. (if that helps) Thanks, Deb

Regarding your experience with urinary retention with burning sensations with a history of diagnosed IC following intake of Elmiron I am suggesting that you have developed a benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH)
In view of this please do a serum PSA level to rule out this condition
