General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Neurofibromatosis may in very rare cases affect the genitourinary system and cause a problem with urination. This is a very rare finding but may happen.
It is very important that you discuss this problem with your doctor and have proper examinations to identify the cause. The prostate may need to be checked as well, as it may also cause problem with the urine stream.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
