Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a fifty year old woman, just starting to see symptoms of menopause. for the last few month I have noticed urinary urgency. I don t really ever get the urge to go until it is to late. I do not believe I have a UTI, there is no burning or frequency. Any ideas?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The urinary problems what you are experiencing could be due to early manifestation of uterine prolapse. It certainly does not seem to be due to urinary tract infection, but still needs to be ruled out. Kindly get your urine checked for urine routine examination. In case it does not indicate any form of infection, you need to consult Gynecologist and get examined clinically to diagnose if it could be due to uterine prolapse. Also, you may also need ultrasound abdomen for confirmation. Accordingly, the problem could be managed. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
