Cipralex contains escitalopram which belongs to the group of medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) is used to treat depression,
obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and
generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Side effects of Cipralex are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, anxiety, bruising, inability to urinate,
involuntary movements of body, dark coloured urine, runny nose, fever, heartburn, loss of appetite, insomnia, increased sweating, changes in heart rate, diarrhea or
constipation, allergic reactions etc. These side effects will often improve over the first week or two as you continue to take the medication. If they persist or bother you for long, then consult your doctor for
medical help.
