What Causes Urination Problem And Erection Issues In A 34 Year Old Man?

I am 34 years old. I am 5 9 and weigh 210 lbs. For a while now I have had a problem urinating as far as being able to go and even keep going. It almost feels like I have a blockage. I have also noticed that my erection seems to have decreased in size. Any connection between these symptoms? Any idea what may be the cause? Is this all in my head?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history of a 34 years old male having feeling of blockage while passing urine and less than normal erection.
This may not be ''in the head'' this may most probably related to some problem in the path of urinary flow like stone, stricture, prostate enlargement and so on. This may indirectly causing less than normal erection of penis.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult a Urologist for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations:
Preliminary investigations of urine: routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
Tests of blood for CBC, kidney functions, testosteron.
Ultrasonography of abdomen particularly for genito-urinary system.
These will give an adea for a possible cause and lead to further investigations like Cysto-urethroscopy, IVP that is intravenous Pyelography and as required.
All this will lead to a proper diagnosis which is so much important for a proper management.
May need testosterone injections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
