What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After A Colposcopy?
I had silver nitrate treatment on my cervix yesterday for cervicitis with minimal symptoms of mucus production and one episode of streak of bld in mucus in between period. Abnormal cells in pap were the lay reason I went to the gyne for colposcopy and tonight I have bright red bleeding? Is this normal?

After a colposcopy, you may have dark vaginal discharge for up to three days, and some bleeding for up to a week.
Your vagina may be sore, and you may experience mild cramping for 1 to 2 days. If no biopsy was taken, you may resume normal activity right away.
