What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After An Intercourse?
I am a 65 year old female. I am going through memopaue or have gone through it. After my husband and I have sex I find blood when I wipe myself. It usually stops shortly after. I have been trying Refresh lubricant and we also use Astro Glide. Is there something better I can use so this will not happen
Hello dear Understand your concern I think you have vaginal dryness or estrogen deficiency cause vaginal bleeding after intercourse. Other causes of vaginal bleeding are: vaginal infections, mechanical trauma due to rough sex, cervical dysplasia and cancer, endometrial dysplasia, cervical and vaginal polyp etc. You should consult the gynecologist and go for following investigations like vaginal examination, PAP smear, USG scan, vaginal examination, endometrial biopsy. Treatment depend on the cause. Meanwhile apply estrogen cream and continue your astroglide and refresh lubricant. Do sex very slowly in relaxed mind, take care while fingering and avoid rough sex. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
