What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Having Plan B?
Hi. After not having sex or seeing my bf for 6 months, I had to take plan b because he didn't pull out fast enough.This was the day after my period ended. The next day and for 3 days I've had a yellow continuous discharge. After the 3rd day we had sex and hrs later I got period like bleeding. Is any of this normal?

Plan .B can cause some side effects for example..soreness of breasts, stomach cramps,headache and vaginal bleeding.
After having sex it could be because of having pill but your period date would be not this one.

Dear patient,
As you know Plan B is a hormonal contraceptive, it can cause period like bleeding in some females due to high dose progesterone withdrawal, usully on day2 or day3 after taking the pill. It has no correlation with your sexual act. The yellow discharge is most likely due to infection that may have happened, as imeediately after periods, the inner surface of uterus is still raw and easily get infe ted. Pls visit your gynaec for treatment of this infection with suitable antibiotics. Also it is advisable that your sexual partner also have this course of antibiotics to avoid recurrence of the infection.
