Hi I have recently been participating in sexual acts with my boyfriend and have been experiencing blood during it. Not after. We have not been having intercourse but I have had it before. I know spotting is sometimes normal but what has been happening to me seems like a lot of blood and I am very concerned
Hello dear Understand your concern Following are the causes of vaginal bleeding after intercourse: 1. Truma: Rough sex lead to mechanical trauma and lead to bleeding. It should be diagnose by vaginal examination. Use lubrication and engage more in foreplay before sex. 2. Vaginal infection: like chlamydia. gonorrhea and bacterial vaginosis can cause bleeding after intercourse. Diagnose by swab test, KOH mounting , cell culture. Treatment is metronidazole (for bacterial vaginosis) and cefrtiaxone for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Maintain hygiene by using V vaginal wash. 3. Cervical erosion, dysplasia and polyp: it can cause bleeding after sex. should be diagnosed by PAP smear.
So you have to consult the gynecologist to diagnose above causes. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
