What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

Hi, I have a serious question. I had unprotected sex three weeks. Last weekend, I had a thick white like cottage cheese discharge with no smell, soreness, itching and burning in and around my vagina. I thought I had a yeast infection so I use monistat one day and AND discharge, burning and itching went away. Then I had sex with the same guy tonight and I began bleeding right after sex. Do you know what may be wrong with me?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

The possibility of Sexually transmitted infection cannot be ruled out. I think you had active infection from last intercourse which worsened with recent unprotected intercourse and that caused the bleeding.

I request you to schedule an appointment with your doctor for further evaluation and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashok Kumar, Psychiatrist
