Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 25 year old woman, 5 2 , 210 lbs and have PCOS. I have had sex 4 times total (with different partners) and have bled after every single time. I expected so after the first time but not after the following three times. Is this normal? The bleeding is not overly heavy and usually stops after intercourse.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Vaginal bleeding after intercourse certainly needs evaluation. It may be due to presence of uterine/cervical polyp, cervical inflammation termed 'cervicitis', presence of vaginal mucosal inflammation or bleeding from remnant hymen tissue. You need to undergo per vaginal and per speculum clinical examination by consulting Gynaecologist. You may have to undergo certain other investigations like ultrasound scan of the abdomen to confirm the diagnosis. Kindly consult Gynaecologist in this regard for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
