Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Recently I had sex on two different occasions after not having intercourse for about 6 months. Both times I bled right after, not very much at all. The first of these two occasions it did hurt slightly due to dryness, but after using lube I was comfortable. The second time it was completely painless and I still had a small amount of blood on the toilet paper after using the restroom. I’ve been on birth control for nearly 2 years and do not get my period because of it unless I miss a pill.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You are having spotting right after sexual intercourse. Hence rule out any internal injury to a genital organ if present especially in the posterior fornix of the vagina by excess pressure.
Polyp, inflammation, infection, fibroid etc. also need to be ruled out. Your per speculum examination and USG can be done for primary work up. Consult a gynecologist for an examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
