What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Stopping Hormone Pills?
I was on hormone pills to reduce my heavy menstural, but I stopped 2 weeks earlier before completing the whole cycle. Now I don t know if I m having period, because there will always have blood.. No more heavy period and not even sure if I ve came menses. whenever I just put my finger inside, and masturbate lightly, it will definitely bleed. Why is this happening? It bleeds easily whenever I finger myself LIGHTLY but it doesn t hurt at all. (just to test if the blood really cause by fingering or its my menses). I m no long nails, and I m not doing it roughly.
As soon as the hormonal pills are discontinued, there is a fall in progesterone level.
Progesterone prevents endometrial shedding. As soon as the level goes down, the endometrium is shed and the next cycle starts. This is called withdrawal bleeding.
Hormonal pills are notorious for irregular and heavy vaginal bleeds. The system would be back to normal in the next 3 to 4 months. If not, see your gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
