What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking An I-pill?

i had sex with my girlfriend on 30th june and her period started on 28th june and she has irregular periods but due to tearing of condom, im not sure if she might get pregnant.she took the pill after 4hrs and today after 6 days she had some vaginal bleeding.so does that mean i pill is working or not?

There is less chances of pregnancy in this case.
Firstly because sex during menses is likely to lead to pregnancy.
I pill was taken within 24 hours of intercourse.

Yes,the spotting experienced now is due to hormonal effect of i pill.It is normal unless if it is heavy or prolonged.
Next month,if the menses delay for more than 7 days get,get her pregnancy test done.

She needs to visit gynaecologist for her irregular periods.
Cause of irregular periods may be anaemia/Polycystic ovary syndrome/thyroid problems/stress/vaginal infection.
