Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Along With Breast Tenderness Post Endometrial Ablation?
48 years old, had endometrial ablasion done about four years ago. Having some bleeding (light) but my breasts have been real tender for more than a week which normally would only be a day or two. Anything I might do to help with breast pain and what could cause the bleeding? I am overweight and am being treated for high cholesterol.
The vaginal bleed is common for a period of one or two menstrual cycle after the procedure of endometrial ablation. The breast tenderness indicates hormone changes induced congestion of the breast parenchyma. Primary care for mastalgia would be: - Local application of evening prime rose oil with gentle massage in circumferential directions - Capsule vitamin E intake - Anti-inflammatory Medications as ibuprofen, diclofenac or tramadol hydrochloride.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
