What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Pelvic Pain After An Abdominal Hysterectomy?
I had an abdominal hysterectomy 5 weeks ago. At almost 4 weeks post-op I had intercourse and was fine during and after; however, a few days later after a somewhat strenuous exercise I started bleeding and having some mild pelvic pain. There was not a lot of blood only spotting but I had an examination with my doctor. He said I only stretched the tissue around the sutures at the end of my vaginal canal and there should be nothing to worry about as long as I took it easy the next couple weeks. How long should I expect to bleed? Its been a little over a week now and I m still bleeding (again it s not a lot).
