What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Swollen Breast After Fallopian Tube Removal?

Hi I had both of my Fallopian tubes removed two days ago. Now I feel like I m menstruating (swollen breast, and bleeding consistent with menstrual). I am also having burst of sharp pains in my right side that last for about 5-10 secs. Should I contact my obgyn?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the procedure of fallopian tube removal is not associated with the vaginal bleeding or swollen breast in usual cases.

* It is very important to co relate the expected date of menstruation in this regard.

* Sharp pain over one side may be related to intestine colic or usual post operative stretching pain of healing process.

* However, your surgeon is best person to gude you in this instance and hence should approach to him or her immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
