Hi,
Welcome to
Ask A Doctor, Thanks for the query.
If you have taken
emergency contraceptive pill within 12 hours of the intercourse, you can expect around 95% of protection rate.
With increasing time gap the success rate will decrease.
After taking the emergency pill it is expected to give protection for 24 hours of post pill period also.
So, according to all these the possibility of
pregnancy is less in your case.
After taking the emergency contraceptive pill, sometimes menstrual bleeding can come early due to the withdrawal effect.
So, if the bleeding is normal as of your regular menstrual flow, no need to worry.
If the bleeding is scanty, please go for urine pregnancy test once on your expected date of periods, if the test gives negative result, then the possibility of pregnancy is less.
Hope I have answered your query. Will be happy to answer any further followup queries.
Regards
