What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Despite Taking Loette Tablets For Ovarian Cysts?
i m having ovarian cyst.and the doctor prescribed me loette tablets for 84 days. and said that there will be no periods but still i m having period but bleeding is not that much.the color of the loette tablet which i have been prescribed is white and has 21 tablets in one leaf.is this ok or should i visit my doctor
Loette is a birth control pill. This is usually prescribed to regulate menstrual cycles which leads to bleeding when withdrawn.
If taken over a long period of time without a gap, breakthrough bleeding occurs during to the sheer weight of the endometrium that develops under the influence of of medications.
I recommend that you stop the medications, your period should come /bleeding increases within 2-4 days. Once your period occurs, see your OBGYN after 4 days to check for persistence of cysts.
If you have enough severe bleeding (more than 5 soaked pads for more than 2days)or you have severe cramps, see your OBGYN right away. Hope this helps. Wish you good health
