What Causes Vaginal Bleeding During A Bowel Movement?
i am 29 y old obese female with irregular menses. 1 month back i started spotting for 25 days, followed by period which stopped in a week. recently i started vaginal bleeding during bowel movement .it is definitely not from the anus. i want to know the causes of this?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM There are many medical conditions that may give you irregular menses and abnormal vaginal bleeding. Some of these causes may also have digestive manifestations like bowel movements. Some possible causes may include: -Pregnancy and related complications -Hormonal imbalances -Pelvic inflammatory disease/STI -Pelvic masses -Changing birth control pills or intra uterine devise There are just so many possible causes.I will suggest you see a Gynecologist for investigation.Test like a pregnancy test, pelvic ultrasound and an infectious/STI work-up(Vaginal swap test, syphilis, chlamydia..) may be needed. If no cause found, a hormonal work-up may then be requested.A tool exam may as well be useful to excluded an associated digestive problem. Hope this will help you Regards
