Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I just had sex with my boyfriend and while we were doing it I started bleeding. I am not a Virgin as I lost it quite some time ago. After the sex there s a noticeable flesh/piece hanging from my vagina opening. I m scared that it might be my cervix or something as I ve tried pushing it in and it came back out. I m going to visit my local GP tomorrow but I can t stop thinking about it. Any idea what it might be?
Vaginal bleeding after intercourse could be due to vaginal infection, cervicitis, cervix/endometrium dysplasia, mechanical trauma, hormonal imbalance. Flesh piece could be blood clot with fibrous tissue and endometrial tissue. I would suggest you to consult a gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination, vaginal swab test, PAP smear/colonoscopy to confirm the cause.
Drugs like progesterone pill and tranexemic acid will help to reduce bleeding. Vaginal infection require antibiotic and lactobacillus suppository. Take warm water sitz bath. Wash vagina with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vinegar. Other treatment will require specific treatment. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
Hope this will help. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr Sagar
