Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just went to the restroom and had a flesh colored, extremely thick discharge . Actually looked like some kind of tissue??? Have had vaginal aching since last night. I am 54 years old, not currently on my period (still get my period, although they are very sporadic). Want to know what this could be?? Very scary. Never have had this happen before.
The thick bloody discharge could be due to menstrual bleeding. However, if I was your caring doctor I would advise consulting with your gynecologist to rule out the possible uterine tumor.
I don't want to rush into final conclusions but better check with gynecologist first. Run transvaginal ultrasound and Pap smear test.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
General & Family Physician
