What Causes Vaginal Bleeding During Sexual Intercourse?

Every time I get aroused I happen to bleed as well. I m now sexually active and my periods are EXTREMELY irregular. My last period was in January. I was wondering why do I bleed when I m aroused and how can I stop it? Sometimes it s really red and at other times it s a brown like discharge.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Bleeding per vagina following sexual intercourse could be associated with certain lesions in the uterus like uterine/cervical polyp, fibroid or endometriosis.
You need to undergo per speculum examination by a Gynaecologist and an ultrasound abdominal scan to know what could be the cause for the symptoms. Accordingly appropriate treatment can be planned and executed.
Kindly get an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and consult Gynaecologist with the report for appropriate evaluation.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
