What Causes Vaginal Bleeding In An Elderly Person?

I am bleeding from the vagina I am 66 years old. Doctor today did a biopsy at the cervix got dark blood in blob. He also did ultrasound and found no problems with ovaries but lining of uterus is thicker. I am home waiting can not sleep believe I am dying from cancer and very afraid. I am over weight . 6 11 and wear size 22.

Following are the causes of vaginal bleeding in your case.
Cervical dysplasia and cancer.
Vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia and atrophic vaginitis
Thick endometrium, endometrium dysplasia and cancer.

So you have to wait for the report and diagnose the problem early as possible and take proper treatment.
So you have to not worry excessive but have to take proper treatment for that.
Thick endometrium can be treated by progesterone preparation tablet and last option is D & C.
Cancer should be treated by endometrial ablation depending upon the severity and stage.
So wait for your result and take proper treatment regarding the result.
