General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

20% of early pregnancies do get complicated with bleeding and half of these go on normally. If you are bleeding you will need to have a vaginal ultrasound to make sure your pregnancy is in the uterus (it is not an ectopic pregnancy).
If the ultrasound shows an intrauterine pregnancy, then you just need to observe it in the next few days. If the bleeding is not stopping then you may need to see your doctor again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
