You should have mentioned your age and number of family members. That helps in diagnosing.
Vaginal bleeding post intercourse is an alarming signal. The first diagnosis for post coital bleeding that comes to any Gynaecologist's mind is cancer of the mouth of the
uterus (
Cervix). Moreover, you had heavy bleeding one year ago without any pain. This indicates that the bleeding is unlikely to be from any tumour in the uterus. Either it has to be due to
Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding or from the Cervix.
Post coital bleeding with history of heavy painless bleeding makes the suspicion of cancer cervix more firm.
Dark brown discharge you are having suggests that whatever lesion you are having which is bleeding has got infected or the cells are getting shed off. Again I think of Cancer cervix.
I would urge you to get clinically examined from your Gynaecologist.
May be you may have to undergo a
biopsy of any lesion if present on the cervix. It will make the diagnosis fool proof.
If it is Cancer cervix, the Gynaecologist will assess the stage of the cancer and then will take a decision about whether you need surgical, radiational, chemotherapeutic treatment - singly or in combination.
Now the first thing you do is please report to your Gynaecologist ASAP.
