I am a 63 year old woman who is post-menopausal. When I was in the rest room tonight, I discovered blood on the bathroom tissue each time I wiped. Can you offer reasons why this occurred? I haven t had a period for many years and have not been sexually active in the past several months. Ironically I an appointment with our primary care physician tomorrow, and lightly wrapped the towelettes loosely in some tissue then placed them in a paper sack to take to the appointment. Can you please offer possible reasons why this occurred? Is there any reason to be concerned? (It should be noted that in December 1982, I had my uterus and cervix removed vaginally due to pap test which revealed abnormal cells which were from 3 to 4 on the scale; after surgery, my gynecologist told me that the cells were tested and fell closer to a 4 on the scale. Prior to the surgery, he did a conezation then a few months later, a coposcopy.) Please explain what this could be and why it is occurring. Sincerely, Johnna Y. Fraise
