Duphaston contains dydrogesterone which is used to treat
female infertility, various menstrual problems like painful or
irregular periods, premenstrual symdrome (PMS) and endometriosis. It helps to restart periods that have stopped before the menopause and to prevent usually heavy periods.
Side effects of Duphaston are stomach cramps, irregular
uterine bleeding, spotting or
bleeding between periods, breast tenderness and enlargement,
vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, stomach upset, headache, dizziness, fatigue, tiredness, dry mouth, mood swings, depression, drowsiness, diarrhea, difficulty in sleeping, chest tightness, allergic reactions etc. If such type of side effects persist for long or bother you, you should consult your doctor promptly for medical attention. Do not stop the intake of this medication without clearly consulting your doctor.
