What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While Urinating?

Received a call today that my 72 yr old mom was being taken to the ER for vaginal bleeding x 24 hrs. She states it is alot and clumpy at times and other times spotting when urinating. She had to start wearing a pad because of the bleeding. She is on incontinence meds, plavix, asprin for post heart attack and pacemaker placement 3 yrs ago. ER did an ultrasound and sent her home with a referral to GYN. I live states away from her, she is scared and unsure what is going on, the ER did not calm her much by telling her they aren t sure and sending her home. Any ideas of what might be on with her??

hi sir/mam,i'm sorry if i'm apprehending you but as she is on aspirin and clopidogrel,which have a high risk of bleeding,you need to consult a gynecologist immediately.there are many causes of vaginal bleeding like cervical cancer,endometrial cancer,multiple uterine fibroids etc.whatever may be the cause,vaginal bleeding is to be controlled as an emergency.please ask her to stop plavix and aspirin and make a gyne consultation as soon as possible.any delay may lead to acute hemorrhage followed by hypovolemic shock.please act fast.
