What Causes Vaginal Bleeding With UTI?

I was diagnosed of UTI on June 1, 2014, exactly 9 days delay of my menstration. Since there is a possibility that I m pregnant when I consulted the Dr., she advised me to take amoxicillin 3x a day to treat the UTI and take a PT 14 days from may 31. June 2, I observed slight bleeding and I waited if it will be more. I woke earlier today and noticed that the bleeding is like having a period already. Is this already menstration or just an effect of UTI? Thank you!

Hello,

Vaginal bleeding is related to UTI. It is just a period coming. You were not pregnant just delayed menstruation. Taking antibiotics adviced by antibiogram and uroculture is advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
