Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vaginal Bleeding With Cramps, Bloating And Tender Breasts While On Birth Control?
I ve been on birth control for the last 7 weeks. I ve been bleeding for the past week. Nothing major, but I ve noticed that my breasts are more tender and I have had abdominal cramping as well. Bloating and nausea randomly during the day. How likely is,it that I may be,pregnant?
Your chances of pregnancy is very less since you have been bleeding for the past seven days.
You have not mentioned your recent sexual history.Any history of intercourse in the past 2 weeks can cause pregnancy symptoms at present.
In case of persisting bleeding and pain, ectopic pregnancy (implantation at sites other than uterine endometrium) should be ruled out.A Pelvic ultrasound may be required.
Bloating, breast tenderness and Nausea can also occur as a side effect of birth control pills. These symptoms will subside in the subsequent cycles as your body gets adjusted to the newer hormone levels.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
