What Causes Vaginal Bleeding?

My mum is 77 years old has had a major stroke her medication is: bendroflumethiazide, citalopram,irbesartan,sotalol,simvastatin and 5mg a day of warfarin. She has had a vaginal bleed. We have spoken to gp and he is referring her to a gynaecologist . What could it be. Please help
