What Causes Vaginal Discharge And No Period After IUD Insertion?

I ve been having a lot of discharge. Odorless, mostly white, sometimes clear. Today, a part of it had gray dots(2 dots to be exact). Little itching, very little. I have the skyla iud put in back in October 6, 2014. Haven t had a problem with the iud that I know of. But my period stopped back in May, the 2nd week. I haven t had any sign of blood since then. No spots, nothing at all. I ve been nauseous probably since May but pregnancy tests are negative. Is there anything I should be worried about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pregnancy test is negative because you are on contraception IUD and it is highly effective. I think you you are having any infection taking count that you are having the discharge so do a vaginal smear.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
