Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to my Dr last Thursday foe a vaginal yeast infection. The CNP did an exam and took a specimen for a culture. She said it was definitely a yeast infection & my cervix was covered in white. I told her my discharge had a green tint to it. They called me Monday & said the culture was negative. She prescribed Fluconazole tabs & Clotrimazole vaginal cream. My lower back is now hurting & the green discharge is getting worse. The only thing that is better is the itching outside the vagina. What else could it be if it s not a yeast infection?
Hi, I think it can be a bacterial vaginosis. So, you may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Have a protected intercourse. Take some pain killers. Hope it helps.
