What Causes Vaginal Itching After Intercourse?

I am a 20 year old female, and 3 days ago I had sex with a new guy. Yesterday I noticed I was itching around my vagina and clitoris, and earlier today I looked at the area and noticed a few white spots that were causing the itching/burning sensation. I am worried that I have genital herpes. Could I have contracted herpes that quickly or could it be due to irrational from sex or maybe a yeast infection? I am making an appointment tomorrow but I would just like some insight for I can’t stop worrying.

Hello,

Please note that herpes will be painful reddish nodules. You have contracted the fungal infection from your partner. Do not worry. It is easy to treat. Just see your gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
