What Causes Vaginal Itching And Burning During Periods Post Unprotected Sex?
My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex this weekend. She is on the Pill but felt a burning pain. then an itching/ burning pain last night. and forgot to take the pill yesterday, today she has bleeding and her period isnt for another week. Concerns and advice?

When on pill the chances of pregnancy are negligible and no menstrual bleeding takes place.
The bleeding which occurs is withdrawal bleeding.
Missing the pill for one day is not of much consequence and the missed pill can be taken within 12 hours.
However, missing the pill for more than one day can lead to failure of the entire treatment.
You may take up urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
