What Causes Vaginal Itching And Yellow Discharge During Pregnancy?
I am pregnant and i have heavy yellowish discharge,my vaginal is itchy and it feels uncomfortable.sometimes i have a cottage cheese like when i finger my vagina to clean.is this normal or not? What should i do? Please help me..thank you..i hope it wont affect my baby inside.
The description of your discharge clearly indicates that you are having fungal vaginal infestation, mostly with superadded trichomonal infestation also. These can be treated. Fungal infection is treated by antifungal vaginal pessaries while metronidazole is very useful to treat trichomonal infection.
Please report to your Obstetrician to finally ascertain what infestation it is. Accordingly you will be given medicines. Please do not ignore these infestations lest transmission to the baby during delivery.
These infestations can be transmitted sexually. Hence, it is advisable that both of you undergo the treatment simultaneously. Also please observe complete sexual abstinence till both of you are declared completely cured.
I hope this helps you.
