Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have read that you aren t supposed to use yeast infection products without having the symptoms before and them having been diagnosed by a doctor. Well I need to know without having to go to the doctor if this is for sure an infection or not I have itching and I do get discharge that is clear at times but it can be a milky white color. Sometimes the discharge is worse than other times but I need to be absolutely sure that I have ano infection. I have read about the smell that it can give and it isn t a fishy smell. I can t explain the smell really but I can t help it feel that it may not be entirely normal. Can u diagnose the symptoms I am having?
you seem to have vaginal yeast infection... for that routinely prescribed medication is locally delivered clotrimazole tablets.. sometimes severe infection may require systemic antifungal agents like ketoconazole...
further i want to ask u do u have any itchy lesion on any part of your body..? sometimes that lesion is culprit for the vaginal infection... in that case u require to treat it along with the vaginal infection...
further yeast infection propagate in warm and humid environment... so try to keep that area dry...use cotton inner-wears..avoid tight clothes like jeans, leggings etc. wear salwar instead. avoid wearing inner-wears at night...and maintain proper hygiene.
hope it helps.. regards..
