What Causes Vaginal Pain And Bleeding During Intercourse?

I m a 23 year old female. I was having sexual intercourse on Monday. I felt a painful sensation and began to bleed. I thought it was from rough sex. Today i have what seems to be a white lesion on the inside of the lip of my vagina. I do not have unprotected sex what could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

White lesion inside the vagina is likely to be a fungal infection. However it cannot be said for sure without seeing it. I think you should see your gynacologist for proper assessment and management. This is especially important in the context of post-coital bleeding and pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
