I am a 70 year old woman whose husband died over 10 years ago, and I am currently being treated for vaginal pseudomonas aeruginosa which was diagnosed by high vaginal swab. I have had no sexual partner since my husbands death. How did I get it, and how do I discourage re-infection? Thank you, Fay BUDD
Hi Fay, urinary and vaginal openings as you know are very close to each other. You probably got it from your urine. Get a urine culture and AST done for permanent cure.--regards
