Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
so about 20 years ago i went to the ER with a bad blister like vaginal rash.. i had used a lubricant the night before with my partner and thought i had a reaction to it. the dr said that it was herpes right off. i took medication and was cleared up in a few days. I have NEVER had an outbreak since, im not on medication and none of my partners have ever contracted this from me. Is it possible that it was misdiagnosed. Is there a way to tell?
Hello, Thanks for the concern. According to history your doctor diagnosed it as herpes infection and after medication it was all clear it means that you are diagnosed correctly. Mostly herpes is contracted due to low immunity of body since than you had never such infection than its not possible that you were misdiagnosed.
