What Causes Vaginal Spotting After A Dilation And Curettage Procedure?

My doc refuses to do a hysto at present. I am status post BC, and underwent treatment which included chemo & rad last year. Aug 1 will be 1 year post trtmnt. Also have mild uterine prolapse. Had a D&C last may, & have been having off & on blood tinged spotting w/ menstrual like pain. He removed 2 polys and a fibroid during D & C. Now US shows polyp trying to grow back in endometrium, fibroids in uterine walls, and fluid filled cyst on right ovary. Am scheduled for another D & C w/ laparoscopy on the 10th. The reason he gives for no hysto is there is more recovery time & of course, it is a more involved surgery. My point is that I am concerned about cancer in this area, & also if Trump pulls govt subsidies, I have no way to pay for ins on my own. So to do a hysterectomy now, to me, makes more sense than waiting. What do you think?

Hi,

Hysterctomy is obviously a complex surgery but if you are repeatedly having fibroids and polyps then my advise is to do the surgery and obviously if you have completed your family because you need to think that aspect also but that is an individuals choice dear .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
