What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Having Larin Fe?

Hello. I used to take the birth control FE Guldess (I believe that is how it is spelled) and my gyno gave me the same medication but it is called Larin FE which is a disp for the first one. This is the first month I have started it, and I am bleeding a little he week before I am supposed to get my period. Is his breakthrough bleeding?

Larin Fe is a combined oral contraceptive pill that contains norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol. It is used:
1) As a contraceptive
2) To regularize the periods
3) Decreases blood loss
4) Also helpful in painful periods
5) Prevents ovarian cysts
6) Treatment of acne or pimples
Adverse effects
Nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, bloating, vaginal bleeding between periods that is called spotting, swelling of feet due to water retention.

This medication may raise your blood pressure.
Worsening of depression
Abdominal pain
Deep venous thrombosis

Thus vaginal spotting is common with Larin Fe. Only if heavy bleeding occurs, you need to see your gynecologist. Or else mild vaginal spotting is common.
