What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Having Sex?

Hi I just had sex last Tuesday its been ten months I haven t had sex so last Tuesday I had sex and now I have been spotting light red and now I m on my cycle when its suppose to come next week but I ve been spotting after Tuesday this whole week what does this means

Thanks for posting your query.

There is nothing abnormal in vaginal spotting after sex. Since its been quite a long time after your last sex now after sex there could have happen mild trauma to the vaginal mucosa which has resulted in Spotting. There is nothing to be worried as it will subside on its own.

Another possibility is you might have your periods bit early and hence you are spotting. Still nothing to be worried.
