What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Removing Nexplanon Implant?

Hello, I’m so confused on how my period is monthly now that I have gotten my Nexplanon implant taken out. I had my implant for the full three years and March 1st, I began spotting March 14th. It was dark and lasted for five days. I have been getting all kinds of weird symptoms that made me think I might be pregnant, my husband and I are tying to conceive, but I have taken test and they were all negative. On March 29th I have started to spot again, but it was very light pink, normal spotting. It is now April first, and I am still spotting. Is this normal for someone that has just gotten off the implant? I am very confused on how my ovulation is and what is even going on with my body. Any information will help. Thank you so much

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As you have applied implant is release a fix dose hormone at a time and regulate the cycle as you removed or some hormonal disturbance occur and your cycle disturb don't worry it will be normalize within 2-3 months. As you want to conceive wait for 1 month then you can try for it.and start folic acid supplementation.
