What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Stopping Breast Feeding?

I am a 21 year old, in june 2014 l had a daughter and 2 months down the line l got a jadele implant contraceptive. Ever since l stopped breastfeeding in june last year l do not have my normal menstruation cycle, l get my period once after 2-3 months and sometimes its jus drops of blood or a lot of brown liquid coming out, could that be a sign of an sti/std?

Thank you for asking your question at health care magic.

Menstrual irregularities, decreased menstrual flow, spotting can be side effects of Jadelle (levonogestrol ) implants.
In some women ,after brestfeeding it takes few months for the hormonal balance to restore .During this time also you can have menstrual irregularities.
However since your symptoms have been going on for a year,.I suggest that you consult your Gynecological to discuss if levonogestrol implant is a right choice for you.

I also recommend that you take a pregnancy test.

STD is a lesser possibility in your case.However without knowing more into your history and physical examination, it is difficult to give a definite answer at this time.
